    in dortmund
i am back on the castle grounds.

it feels rather grand to be able write that. too bad i am not the rightful princess who is entitled to claim so.

anyhow, the trip over from klia was a horrible one. a chocolate sundae killed my tummy and i was feeling sick for 15 hours straight and trapped on an airplane, to boot! it was the worst feeling ever, transcendent to any form of motion sickness ever experienced. how i survived the trip eludes me still.

tomorrow i will be going to essen, a little way from here, to get onto a bus and then heading all the way up to london. when we get there it will be work time and hell for me, all over again. coming here this time has reaffirmed that thought i had a while back about no longer enjoying this job. or to put it bluntly, of not wanting to do this anymore.

    breathe in.

i just want to retire to my own cozy cafe where i may do as i please and still make a nice comfortable living out of it. it is, i suppose, too young for one to retire at the age of 26, but then my bones are creaking otherwise. the tour has yet to begin and i am already beat. i need to learn to take things a little bit easy too.

    breathe out.

what i really want right now is to buy my family a vacation away from home. i hope the day i am able to will come so terribly soon.

    take off and away!
i am so bad. i said i was going to write but i never. i am leaving for europe tomorrow and as always i dread it. especially when i have to go live with my boss' family for a few days. of course it is strictly work, but with that comes the obligation of attending birthday parties, or dining with wealthy neighbours, acting humble and polite at all times. it's just too much for me to handle.

on the contrary, the 2 months i have been back home has been very good. i managed to catch up on a lot of things that i just never have the time for when i'm out on the road. yes, i did also catch up with people. read some very good books, watched good shows, ate good food, indulged in good games.

DMZ/Vertigo DC speaking of good books, this is a graphic novel by brian wood that centers around a civil war that broke out in the USA. we watch the terror and the truths unfold through the eyes of a funny-cute and amateur photojournalist, matty roth. this book is great because for me, it gives hope that people do go on with their lives even in the shackles of war. i think that the power to adapt is one of god's greatest gift to his creations. of course the gore and blood about this book is fun but the thing that really caught me was what the citizens had to say, about not wanting the war to end because it has given them a chance to live where materialistic needs are not a means to survive. they grasp the unrest as freedom to start all over again. now, if only that is true for every other nation today stuck in war. i guess some things are meant to only exist in the fiction world.

i need to go get a new coat for my trip. i realize that i am no longer as susceptible to cold as i was before. bleh.

    open for business!
everytime i see anything coated bright pink i get a sudden impulse to buy it even if i have no use of it. that, i guess is when you call yourself obsessed. my ipod is pink, everything i buy from victoria's secret is pink, my bag has pink polka dots on it, half of my brain is probably colored pink right now! i am not a fan of baby pink, soft and sweet. i like my pink to be bright and vibrant and loud.

enough of that. because i feel like pink now, i decided to revamp the blog to suit my current mood and hopefully i will start writing again. at least just to post pictures. i am leaving for europe this sunday and will be away for 2 weeks, maybe a month. my only bane is that i am designated to stay on the band bus and i hate the band bus. why won't they let me sleep on the crew bus!??

i am going to san diego tomorrow for the comic con. last year was great eventhough i was working, but this time i'm going just for fun. should be good.

    from eu to japon!

    the european tour ended a few weeks back and i am on my way to japan. europe was not bad, of all the countries i've been to in the eu i would like to try to spend more time in england and denmark! germany is good too, i especially like cologne. the picture you see up there is from a restaurant in cologne that the techie, make-up artist, guitarist and i went to. according to them the sausages were fantastic. i liked my vege dish i ordered. it came with a side of baked potato topped off with the creamiest yummiest butter dressing ever. it was raining that day and it was the first time i took my coat out of my suitcase, only to have it drenched in rain water -_-;;

earlier in the day we visited the "dom cathedral" as you can see above. it is the largest church in europe if not the world. it stands 598 steps high and took 300 years to build. winter is definitely the best time to visit europe as it adds to the atmosphere when you are out and about sight-seeing. it would have helped even more if i was not with people that needed to be looked-out for. i definitely want to go to europe again for holiday, to really take some time and enjoy the country and its history.

when we were in finland we were all hoping to see the aurora borealis as the production manager told us that you can see it from anywhere in finland if the weather was right. unfortunately for us, it was cloudy the day we were there. i suppose if we go further north to maybe where punnki (our tensai lighting tech) lives, we would be able to see it every other day. that will be another dream of mine to fulfill.

next year, we will definitely try to make project egypt 2007 happen!! everything is still under planning right now and we are in the midst of collecting data, but soon, we will have details. now, i have more immediate problems to tend to before the end of 2006.

europe was a fun experience and i am hoping to have a blast in japan this time. a short trip nonetheless, but making it a great one is of top priority! will be posting my tentative schedule next.
